🎶 On the road again…we just couldn’t wait to get on the road again this April for Engage 2024 so we could bring all of our HR and benefits friends together for a virtual road trip! Our full-day event brought together benefits experts from near and far to share their tips for benefits communication, ideas on how to leverage your broker, and how to provide a personalized experience for Medicare-eligible folks. 

We left Engage with a trunk full of ideas, a roadmap to a better open enrollment season, and a full tank of memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. Engage isn’t possible without the incredible and passionate folks who attend each year, so let’s take a moment to revisit the day’s sessions and the conversations they sparked on LinkedIn.

In the Driver’s Seat: Finding Confidence Amidst Conflict

Kwame Christian, CEO of the American Negotiation Institute and host of the podcast, Negotiate Anything, jumpstarted our day with an incredible opening keynote about how to navigate difficult conversations. Kwame shared ideas on how to approach those conversations in ways that help strengthen relationships, promote empathy, foster inclusion, drive results, and empower positivity.

Next up, Brandon Weber, CEO and Co-Founder of Nava Benefits, shared why brokers should be your first phone call if you’re an HR professional and in a bind, plus how you can utilize your partnership to offset the amount of work you’re tackling this year.

It’s Time for a Medicare Course Correction (And It Starts With You)

Jellyvision’s CEO, Amanda Lannert, led a conversation on all things Medicare with John Repischak from Cable One, Jennifer Martin from Best Buy, and Eric Stanger from WTW. The group shared how they’re course-correcting at their own organizations and providing Medicare-eligible employees with the education and information they need.

On our next stop, we took a moment to reflect on the last few years with Jenn Lim, CEO and Founder of Delivering Happiness. Jenn walked us through how the workplace has shifted and gave some tips on how to create an inclusive workplace and show up as our authentic selves.

We wrapped up our trip with a panel of experts as they shared their top hits for the year ahead. Katie Stokes from MMA, Beth Bejoian from MTA Benefits, and Jen Bergman from Zendesk joined Eric Pumiglia, Jellyvision’s CRO, as they discussed new research and what strategies they’re building and using to tackle this year’s priorities.
