Holy smokes! I was just minding my own business, working on employee benefits communication projects, when a new hire benefits enrollment postcard just popped up out of the wild.

I’m really excited about this particular card because it’s just so gigantic–6 inches by 11 inches (way bigger than the standard postcard size)–and because it features the three important elements of a postcard’s front that I talked about in my first postcard video a few weeks back. The issue with this card, though, is it’s got some extra stuff on it that’s fighting for the reader’s attention.

In today’s video, I’m going to show you the card (which I’ve disguised as a Placeholder Industries communication) and walk through two small changes that I think will make it easier to read and understand.
