Try Our Minty-Fresh Benefits Cocktail: The HMOjito!

HMOjito copySometimes we all need a little refresh after another long work week of bein’ awesome. Why not add a little zip to your Friday afternoon or evening with our latest benefits-themed cocktail recipe: the HMOjito?

Ingredients:

  • 3 mint sprigs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 shot of white rum
  • Club soda
  • Ice

Instructions:

Designate a PCP (Primary Cocktail Pal) to help you with this recipe. They’re the only one who can serve you (unless you want a cocktail that’s a lot more expensive and a lot less fun), so make sure it’s someone good who, you know, smells nice and compliments your shoes from time to time.

Through your PCP, request three mint sprigs. Pull off 8-10 leaves, and throw the stems away–they’re “out of network”, so you can’t use them. Throw your mint leaves and sugar into a highball glass, and muddle (aka crush with a fancy rounded stick) until your PCP diagnoses the surrounding air as “smelling minty fresh.” Then, ask your PCP to stir in the lime juice, the white rum, and the ice. Get a referral from your PCP to top off the drink with club soda, and voila! Your HMOjito is complete-o.

If your PCP isn’t interested in doubling as your DD, you can always try out this nonalcoholic “PPOjito” instead:

Ingredients:

  • 3 mint sprigs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Ice

Pull off 8-10 mint leaves and muddle them at the bottom of a highball glass. Add in lime juice, ice, and the lemon-lime soda of your choice. Give it a good mix, then enjoy!
