From an article about the awards in the Chicago Tribune:

“The technology conference, newly led by CEO Katy Lynch, selected 164 innovators from 100 Chicago-area companies, including 55 women. That’s just over one-third, up from 13 percent in 2014, when 18 women were named to a list of 142.

‘This year the Techweek 100 reflects and highlights new groups, new initiatives, and new growth in the Chicago tech ecosystem,’ Lynch said in an email.”

This honor is just one of a number of awards Amanda has received in the past few years, including being named CEO of the Year at Built in Chicago’s 2014 Moxie Awards and TechStars Chicago’s Mentor of the Year in 2013. Oh, and last month, Amanda and Suzanne Muchin, Principal at Mind + Matter Studio, published this fantastic thought piece/call to arms regarding women in tech: “How to Make a Dent in ‘The Women Problem’ in Chicago.” We highly recommend you check it out.
