What Makes a Great Postcard: Part 1

Justyn Harkin Benefits Communication

The Communications Breakdown is back! To kick things off, I’m going to talk about one of my favorite communications channels–the postcard.

Postcards are great for getting benefits messages to employees and their families. And because you’re dealing with a limited amount of space, they force you to boil your message down to the most essential elements.

In today’s video, I’m going to focus on what makes a good postcard front. Next week, I’ll cover the backside.

Oh, and I almost forgot–I’m going to share one of our ALEX Central postcard templates so you can take a crack at making your own postcard. The template is a good, old-fashioned PowerPoint file, so anybody should be able to use it.

Download your PPT postcard template right here.

And if you do make something cool, I sure hope you’ll share it with me. Even if your creation is just for fun, I’d love to see what you come up with. Be sure to share your images with us on Twitter (@jellyvision).
